ITSS Engineering has completed heavy aluminium and stainless work since its inception until today. Customers started highlighting their need for a reliable, competent, Light Fabrication and Sheetmetal specialist. From those requests ITSS Lightfab was born.

We design, fabricate and weld an extensive range of metalwork projects. Our quality tooling such as CNC press brakes, guillotines, folders, benders, rollers ensures we can cater for lighter gauge steels and aluminium.

What aluminium and stainless steel grades does ITSS work with?

ITSS works with 5083, 6061 and 6082 aluminium and 304 and 316 stainless steel. We keep sheet, flat bar and sections in stock at our Warkworth workshop.

Can you weld aluminium?

Yes. We MIG, TIG and gas weld all aluminium grades, as well as 304 and 316 stainless steel.

What do you make in aluminium and stainless steel?

Stainless steel frames, aluminium and stainless tanks, ducting, and custom parts. We also alter and repair all kinds of aluminium components.

Do you do light sheetmetal work like benches and sinks?

Yes. ITSS Lightfab handles precision sheetmetal work, including custom sinks, benches, shower trays, flashings, gutters and window screens.

Which metal should I use near the sea?

For coastal and salt-air jobs we usually recommend 316 stainless steel or 5083 marine-grade aluminium. Our guide to aluminium vs stainless steel explains how to choose. ITSS Engineering completes many different types of marine work in both aluminium and stainless steel – for example stainless rails and fittings for boats, or aluminium tanks for fuel or liquid storage.

Can you finish the metal as well?

Yes. Blasting and painting is done on site in Warkworth, and anodising, galvanising, zinc and electroplating are done through trusted partners.

Can you work from my drawings?

Yes. Our CAD/CAM drafting team can work from your drawings or help develop them before fabrication starts.
